If I think back to my life ten years ago, it feels very different to the life that I lead today. I remember that I was constantly striving for more, caught up in the corporate rat race. I was impatient to get the next promotion, the next pay rise and the newest phone. Yet, something was missing. I wasn't living a life of abundance, I was living a life of scarcity and that scarcity was reflected in the quality of the emotions that I experienced. I exercised most days, yet I often felt tired and uninspired at work (I even had to take naps on the toilet, I was so tired). I kept striving for more, thinking that more achievement, more success and more money would ultimately fulfil me, yet no matter how many promotions I secured, or how much money I earned, I was never satisfied. I kept convincing myself that what I was searching for was just over the horizon, but no matter how far I climbed, how hard I pushed, I could never quite reach the pinnacle of success I so desperately craved. What I hadn't appreciated is that I wasn't alone in feeling that way.
To compound matters, whilst I would have called myself a happy person, I lacked self-awareness (and self-confidence). I would often find myself angry, unable to let go of negative emotion. I would readily judge others, but fail to realise how harshly I would also judge myself. I felt the constant need to compare myself to others and never quite measure up. I was reactive and, as a result, I expended far too much of my precious energy on things that were urgent rather than those things that were truly important to me. I was constantly busy, but rarely was I busy on the right things. I was so busy pleasing other people for the wrong reasons, that I rarely felt satisfied myself. I was also quick to blame others but unable to take constructive criticism myself. Despite my outward appearance of success, I remained empty inside.
I remember being the person who got angry when their flight was delayed at the airport. I would be the person who would spend their whole time thinking how unfair it was and looking for someone else to blame. I inadvertently spent much of my time in a negative state, when I could have chosen to live in a much more abundant state. I was too busy fighting my way through life to truly enjoy it. What I failed to realise for too many years, was that what I thought was winning, was actually quite the opposite. I wasn't thriving, I was merely surviving. The way I was living my life, culminated in me edging close to burn-out eight years ago, but from that dark place I discovered the knowledge and skills, grounded in the very latest science, that have transformed my life.
An extraordinary life
Fast forward to the life that I live today and it is one of abundance. I have gone from wanting more to having more. From surviving to thriving. If I could pinpoint the single most important thing that has changed, it is that I have learned to no longer be subservient to fear. I have learned to master my own emotions, to understand, learn from and harness the fuel that drives each and everyone one of us. Where I once experienced pain, I now experience joy. Where I once felt emptiness, I now feel whole. Whereas in the past, my happiness was reliant on external circumstances, I have learned to harness my mind so that I now have a choice as to how I experience each day. My happiness is no longer left to chance. The blueprint that I live my life from brings me far more joy, love, fulfilment and success than I could ever have imagined possible ten years ago.

However, if by lunchtime on the Friday of the Retreat you are not satisfied with the quality of the tuition you have received, you can hand in your workbook and request a refund of the tuition element, which equates to £995 (£2,495 on the platinum plus package). You will forfeit your place on the Retreat, but you will continue to enjoy your stay at the St Enodoc Hotel in Rock, including all meals. To be eligible for the refund you must have attended the event up until the lunch-break on the Friday and request your refund in person to one of the team during the break.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
Transport to/from Rock on arrival/departure: People will be arriving from all over the UK, Europe and beyond. We thought it would be easier to let everybody do their own thing. We can help arrange local transport should you need our help in doing so. The nearest airport to Rock is Newquay and the nearest mainline train station is Bodmin Parkway. There is ample parking at the hotel should you choose to drive.
Alcoholic beverages or soft drinks with meals: We want to facilitate the optimum conditions for your success. Alcohol reduces learning by as much as 50% and soft drinks lead to unhelpful spikes in mood. Of course, if you'd like to purchase your own, that is entirely up to you.
Snacks: You will be well fed (a hearty breakfast, two-course lunch and three course dinner), so snacks should not be necessary. There will also be unlimited water, tea, coffee and fruit available each day (although we'd suggest holding off on the caffeine from midday onwards so as not to disrupt your sleep quality).
Spa treatments at the St Enodoc Hotel Spa: It's going to be a pretty packed schedule and we don't want to overcommit. However, if you decide to stay on an extra night or manage to find yourself with some spare time during The Retreat, we can highly recommend the spa!
IS THE RETREAT RIGHT FOR ME?
The Retreat will not be right for everyone. It's the reason we have a screening process and ask you to complete an application form. We will not accept everyone and nor should we. As much as we'd like to help as many people thrive as possible, people might not be in the right headspace to benefit from the retreat, which would negatively impact them and other retreat participants. Below we have set out a check-list of who the Retreat would likely benefit. If you can relate to three or more, then it's likely you are in the right place.

The Retreat may not be right for you, if you are not in the right headspace. For example, if you have experienced trauma in the last 6-months (including divorce, bereavement etc) we would recommend you wait a full 12-months before applying to The Retreat. We ask all applicants to complete a wellbeing questionnaire ahead of them being accepted, this enables us to fully assess if The Retreat is right for you. If your wellbeing score is too low (or too high), you may not get the benefit you are after. However, we can discuss this over the phone to fully assess whether The Retreat is right for you. Retreat participants must be at least 18 years of age.
