Most of us are too busy running frantically on the hedonic treadmill that we call life, to stop and reflect whether the life that we are living is one that we have chosen or simply mistakenly ended up in. Often, through having no clear sense of what we truly want (as opposed to what we believe is expected of us), we allow outside circumstances to dictate what we do and who we ultimately become. Even if you are on the right path, you may have adopted certain behaviours that are holding you back from living your best life. Often this can result in negative stress, resentment, anxiety, unhappiness, ill-health and a lack of fulfilment. Yet, we have the power to create significant changes that can radically alter the trajectory of our life for the better. That change starts from within. The Retreat has been designed to help you re-discover who you want to be deep inside and help you to create the life that you have always dreamed of. A significant element of the Retreat is designed to help you challenge self-limiting beliefs and behaviours that are standing in the way of you living the life that you want, based on the very latest research in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, social science and wellbeing.

A transformational learning experience
The Retreat is based on our hugely popular and highly acclaimed Exponential programme which founder, Nick Bloy, has been delivering to organisations across the UK and Europe. Nick has received unprecedented feedback, such as: "our entire organisation needs to attend this"; "the whole world needs this knowledge" and "what you do is simply amazing". Nick is passionate about helping people realise their true potential and as part of that commitment, we are looking to run our next Exponential retreat for individuals in October 2019, in Rock, Cornwall. The Retreat takes the Expotential programme to the next level, by incorporating 1-2-1 coaching and group coaching sessions, together with daily meditation and physical movement sessions, in a breathtaking setting.
The Retreat is not your typical retreat, in that you will be embarking on an intensive three-day learning programme with up to nine other people who are also looking to transform the way they experience life.
Most days will start at 07:00 with a morning run/walk and yoga/meditation, followed by breakfast from 09:00. The main workshops, led by Nick, will start around 10:00 most days and last 3-4 hours, before breaking for lunch. The afternoons will involve some free time for self-reflection and relaxation, as well as group or 1-2-1 coaching sessions. In addition, following dinner each evening, we will hold evening talks to help you embed the learning from the morning workshops and afternoon coaching sessions.
We will be encouraging participants to retire to bed by 22:00 each night, ready for the next day. On Saturday afternoon, we are planning a 3-hour hike along the awe-inspiring coastal path, to assist with self-reflection and personal growth. The hike should be suitable for most abilities, but should you have any concerns please get in touch and we can easily provide a 6-8 week plan to ensure you are fit enough.
Unpicking self-limiting beliefs and behaviours
We all hold self-limiting beliefs and behaviours that box us in and prevent us from realising our true potential. Unfortunately, most of us never appreciate that we are limiting ourselves or, if we do realise, we simply don't fully understand our ability to create meaningful, long-lasting, positive change within ourselves. We often make excuses such as "that is just the way I am" or "that is the way things are". Yet, we have far more influence than we think when it comes to creating a blueprint for our long-term happiness and fulfilment. If you are fed up with being a victim of circumstance and are looking to challenge yourself to be the best version of you that you can possibly be, then The Retreat has been designed with you in mind. Over the course of three days, you will identify the common pitfalls that you and others make in trying to achieve their life ambitions and how those limiting beliefs may have negatively impacted your relationships, career, success and long-term happiness. There will also be invaluable opportunities for self-reflection and contemplation.
It all starts with self-awareness and taking the time to step off the hedonic treadmill of life and reflect on what is truly important to you.
Re-discovering who you truly want to be
Too often, we are so busy conforming to the standards of others that we don't stop to question whether those standards are serving us well. Sometimes the standards we try so hard to achieve can actually undermine our happiness and long-term success, as well as undermine our sense of self. As a result, we can forget what we actually want and who we truly are as a person. There is a tremendous amount of 'noise' surrounding what it means to be successful and what it takes to live a fulfilling and happy life. The Retreat shares the latest science of happiness, peak performance and success to help you to see through this noise and identify what you truly want out of life and how to get it.
We'll share with you how the beliefs that you hold can tangibly alter the very fabric of the world that you experience, which can positively or negatively influence your ability to thrive. We'll help you identify the real cause of stress in your life and what you can do to transform the way you approach your relationship with fear. We'll also help you to develop some of the key skills that will help you to harness your true potential and enable you to be the very best version of yourself, for you and the people that you care about.
